Both physical therapy and yoga instruction should be a place to explore your body’s deepest potential for healing. The prerequisite for beginning is to simply show up. At Ful- Being Collective this group of therapists, healers and teachers move beyond just the physical to make the most effort to understand each individual’s subjective experience so that each person is educated and empowered to fully participate in their own healing process.
During this Heartful Yoga workshop, it was a chance for teachers, therapists and healers to collectively tap into their own healing space. Giving them time to explore, play and tap into their own creative energy that sometimes sits dormant because they are caring for others. We moved through the process of collective art making as means to support each other and ourselves.
Art therapy has been shown to benefit people of all ages. Research indicates art therapy can improve communication and concentration and can help reduce feelings of isolation. This type of therapy has also been shown to lead to increases in self-esteem, confidence, and self-awareness.
