Yoga for Everyone

Dani’s passion, joy and purpose is to help you explore your own YOGA practice as a learning tool for self -discovery by tapping into your true spirit and creative potential for better empowerment to live an authentic heartful life.

Yoga unites the mind, body and spirit in a way that eases tension, promotes health, and overall well-being. Regular practice will help you go inside to open up limitless possibilitiesl of living an authentic, balanced life through tapas (discipline) svadhyaya (self-study), saucha(purity),santosha(contenment) and Ishvara Pranidhana (Surrender): Letting go of your ego and trusting a higher power or the flow of life.

Dani’s knowledge of the human form comes from years of drawing the body and her love for the body is apparent as she guides students toward body awareness so that they, too, can make the connections in natural body movement, alignment and breath.  She helps to bring forth the unique connections for the practitioner to find awareness in their shape, form, alignment, and patterns in their practice to deepen the process of self-exploration. This creates a practice that makes space for creativity to flow and acceptance of release to be present with whatever shows up. Encouragement, props, and art are an integral part of support in Dani’s teachings while her therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in the depths of Raja Hatha Yoga so that you can align your life with purpose and ease while encouraging growth from the inside out!

The Yoga Wall is like having a supportive partner in your practice who keeps you in balance between effort and ease. This system of support helps you find supportive extension in your practice that heightens your awareness of your body and breath’s freedom. The supported straps and props use gravity as a natural form of resistance causing the body to open much further than in regular yoga practice. This releases tension, deeply stretching the entire muscular-skeletal body and relieves pressure and back pain and calms the autonomic nervous system. Yoga Nidra

If you find it hard to switch off, this class is for you! Achieving this however can be very challenging for most of us, especially if you find it hard to relax, to fall asleep or to stay asleep. This Yoga for Deep Rest class aims to support your body to learn to relax fully, so the mind and body soften to allow the nervous system settle.

This class is about enabling you to let go of physical and mental stress and encourage your sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight freeze) to dial down and your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) to dial up - promoting balance and helping you to reset.
You will be guided into a few very supportive asanas to relax the body and then you will be guided through a Yoga Nidra mediation enhanced with essential oils. A special place of sleepless sleep where you just listen to your internal pulse of just being.

Spirit Painting

An intuitive soul-art experience . An expressive practice for connecting with the soul’s natural language of mark making and emotional exploration and creative expression through color, gesture, and presence of mediums. This session invites students to move inward, listen deeply, and create from a place of embodied awareness from prompted questioning to see what moves through, in and around and out.

Chair Yoga & Therapuetics

You will learn to use yoga props: blocks, blankets, straps, bolsters, etc, for cultivating alignment and support for stillness to your body. Each week you’ll explore 4-6 fully supported yoga asanas, taking time to focus on breathing deeply as we activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Pranayama and/or meditation will be included in this well rounded slow paced practice for everyone . This class welcomes everybody, including folks working through injuries. Come as you are, to nourish your body, mind and spirit through a challenging slow, supported practice that merges both the movement, strength & supported surrender.

Don’t be deceived by this alignment propped based class … it’s sneaky in targeting how to use the body, breath, and mind with brain balancing sequencing.

Restorative Yoga

We will move the body with a gentle somatic movements as a warm up and wind down, as we connect breath with awareness making space for settling the mind-body connections in the present for each supported propped posture slowly. We will stretch connective tissue by holding a pose for a long time, the body will respond by making them a little longer and stronger –and the breath is the tool to navigate to fully release into the support. This is a practice of slowing the body to settle into the sensation with support for complete surrender. We are learning to be in the response of the body with a balanced state of breath to support the shift into complete rest & digest . This practice is a nervous system reset and brain balance from our busy over stimulated minds. This is the softer side of the practice.

Stretch & Sketch

This is unique experience of coming to the intersection of yoga & art.  We literally Stretch & Sketchä through an asana practice with sketching prompts. Some of us see symbols instead of words for self -study and some of us need visual references to make connections.  During this workshop  we  draw upon our inner  awareness of  emotions and experiences from the  asana then draw upon our external awareness to shape the visual experience . We practice at the intersection of awareness and as drawing

see the practice from both perspectives inside out and outside in ….
