If you find it hard to switch off, this class is for you! Achieving this however can be very challenging for most of us, especially if you find it hard to relax, to fall asleep or to stay asleep. This Yoga for Deep Rest class aims to support your body to learn to relax fully, so the mind and body soften to allow the nervous system to settle.

This class is about enabling you to let go of physical and mental stress and encourage your sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight freeze) to dial down and your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) to dial up - promoting balance and helping you to reset.
You will be guided into a few very supportive asanas to relax the body and then you will be guided through a Yoga Nidra mediation enhanced with essential oils. A special place of sleepless sleep where you just listen to your internal pulse of just being.

This practice will begin with somatic movement and pranyama to release strep from the breath and body so that the bones get heavy to be supported in your awakened sleep known as Nidra. You will be guided through nidra practices to deeply relate the brain, to rejuvenate and rebalance your vibratory fields (Koshas) that surround spirit. This class is about enabling you to let go of physical and mental stress and encourage your sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight freeze) to dial down.

Dani and Angela have a creative chemistry that helps you drop your mental chatter to be embodied in your body in the moment. Expect to learn some mantras and mudras and we move to sacred music.

Just because we move mindfully slow doesn’t mean this isn’t challenging. We must train the body to surrender that is no a complete collapse.

Join Dani in this series to learn different pranayama practices and wall poses to cleanse and energize the body. We will focus on the mechanics of the respitory process and on how to guide the breath to create a deep understanding on the nuances of using the breath in different ways to support the balance to be with in it. Expect to learn classic Pranayama techniques like Kapala Bhati (Skull-Shining Breath) that can invigorate and refresh as well as down shift and surrender like Chandra Bhedana.
