Dani Teaches on Riverfront
Once again, I am honored to be leading a community fundraising yoga class on the Ossining waterfront at Henry Gourdine Park for Open Door Family Medical Center and Foundation on Sept 28 9:30-11:00 am. A big thank you 2 two-board members who happen to be my yoga students in introducing me to this supportive organization. Thanks Roberta & Laura
I couldn't think of a better way for me to give back to an organization that does so much in delivering compassionate, quality health care and wellness services to all people, especially those with the least access and greatest need — regardless of their ability to pay here in the lower Hudson Valley Region. Aren’t wellness services suppose to be for everyone ? Isn’t yoga about ethical action and balanced wellness on and off the mat for all ?
I strongly believe medical care, yoga and art should be accessible to all if we want to have healthy, caring people making up our community.
Come join me on to the Hudson River’s edge in scenic Ossining for a community practice where we celebrate the flow of life, and support each other and the Open Door.
I am a professional artist, textile designer and a 500 hr- E-RYT certified yoga teacher specializing in alignment, yoga wall and yoga therapeutics and the combination of art & yoga through creative exploration for healing. We will experience a nurturing heartful yoga practice designed to move the body, promote self-awareness, deep relaxation, and wellness through mindful movements, conscious breathing techniques, supported poses, and gestural hand mudras to help move energy so we can settle ending the class with a guided meditation. You might even get a chance to doodle ?

I can not attend
But I would like to make a charitable donation
I can stand on the solid rocks
of those that know
You can’t own them.
I can balance on the docks
that sways and pay the fee
that continues to cease the crumbling
decay of kindness, choice and equal rights,
so that my choices don't wash
away and travel downstream.
I support this flow in all directions
with what I know
for certain
Love is the way ——OM SHANTI Dani
