This was a special custom workshop to Stand Up for democracy, equality, and justice for all. Stand Up NY-17’s mission is to foster informed citizen engagement in electing representatives who fight for democratic ideals, liberty and justice for all in NY’s 17 Congressional District. We came together at Chisel to generate protest art, emerging from personal symbols of strength, understanding of colors that invoke peace and represent anger, and releasing of emotions.

Personal protest photos were used as the base of the collective collage, and supportive somatic yoga techniques jump started the release into the process of making art together.

These shorts have a body-flattering fit that will make you feel super comfortable even during the most intense workouts. They come with a high waistband and are made from soft microfiber yarn.
