According to the yoga tradition, we are made up of 5 interwoven layers or sheaths that that create our divine full being /Self. These layers “bodies” “koshas “are the physical, energetic, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Each layer made of increasingly finer grades of energy. During this weekend retreat we studied and practiced from the lens of the Koshas with asana, pranayama and meditation and artmaking. We learned and illustrated that if we intend to live a fully balanced, healthy life, we need look at of ourselves and attend all our bodies to be connected and interwoven into this moment of here and now.
