A Heartful Thank You

3 Free Recorded Practices for You

I want to take a moment to thank you from my heart for your dedication to your practice and for continuing to show up with me—on Zoom, in studios, at workshops, and on retreat. Your presence, curiosity, and commitment continue to inspire me.

Most of you know I will be away the first week of August hosting my sold-out Power of the Pause retreat in Italy, at the foothills of Mt. Amiata. Shortly after, I will be traveling through the northern territories, tracing some of my husband’s heritage and exploring places I have never been before.

As I thought about the people I see each week through Alchemy in Beacon, The Collective in Cold Spring, FulBeing in Wappingers, Firefly in Fishkill, and my regular Heartful Zoom community, I wanted to offer a way for you to keep up with your practice while I am away—on your own schedule, in your own space and on your own time.

Over the past 24 years of personal practice and study, I have learned to trust the practice and simply keep “getting to the mat and being with meditation,” attending to the Self with steadiness and compassion. In the ancient wisdom text The Yoga Sutras, Sutra 2.1 names three key ingredients that help make yoga a spiritual practice:

·       Tapas: Self-discipline and the inner fire generated through consistent effort in practice.

·       Svadhyaya: Self-study, including reflection on our habits and thoughts, as well as the study of sacred wisdom texts.

·       Ishvara Pranidhana: Surrender or devotion to a higher purpose, including letting go of the need to control the results of our actions.

And the purpose of these ingredients is to live in the state of yoga ….

·       Klesha reduction: In Sutra 2.2, Patanjali teaches that active practice helps reduce the deep afflictions that cause suffering, known as kleshas, and guides the mind toward meditative absorption, or samadhi.

As a gesture of gratitude, I am offering you access to three very different recorded Zoom yoga classes from Heartful Yoga. Each practice offers a different doorway into movement, breath, awareness, and care for the body, mind, and heart. These are unedited recordings of my weekly Zoom classes, so they are imperfectly perfect.

Your Three Recorded Zoom Yoga Offerings

1. Tuesday Chair Yoga & Functional Movement

This practice is designed to support everyday mobility, strength, balance, breath, and body awareness. Using the chair as a supportive tool, we explore functional movement patterns that help us move with more ease, stability, and confidence in daily life.

2. Fridays Center & Flow

A mindful, breath-centered strength class to help you build warmth, awaken energy, and connect movement with intention. This practice invites steadiness, spaciousness, a deeper relationship with your inner rhythm, and active use of props.

3. Sundays Align and Refine

A slower, nourishing practice that supports strength, resilience, alignment, and awareness. This weekly class changes with the needs of the group and integrates a variety of yoga styles to help you refine movement, rest deeply, and receive.

If you would like the free videos, please contact me below and write “free classes” in the notes.

You are welcome to practice with these recordings in your own time and in your own way. Let each class meet you where you are, and please listen to your body with kindness as you move, pause, modify, and breathe.

Thank you for being part of this Heartful Yoga community. Your willingness to show up, practice, explore, and stay connected means so much to me.

With gratitude and heart,

OM SHANTI
